Dr Eugene Dozortsev is the Head of Research and Development for CA and heads up all security related R&D in Australia. He is responsible for development of a range of security products and services such as eTrust Directory, eTrust PKI, eTrust OCSPro, Vet Anti-Virus, Anti-Virus Research and several others.

With a background in software development and research in the aviation, digital imaging systems and anti-virus industries, Eugene has grown CA's Melbourne labs from a team of 15 researchers to over 80 people. His team undertakes around a quarter of the international R&D effort for CA in the research in the security field.

Over the last 10 years in Australia, Eugene has held a variety of roles from Senior Computer Scientist, Project Leader and Development Manager to Assistant Vice President of Research and Development. He was also responsible for driving the ISO certification process for CA's R&D procedures. CA is the first company to achieve this level of accreditation globally.

Eugene holds a PhD from Moscow University of Physics and Technology in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science and spent over eight years working for the Russian Aero-Space Research institution before moving to Australia in 1991.
