Leif Gamertsfelder is the leader of the E-Security Group at Deacons. Leif advises medium to large institutions in relation to a wide range of IT, privacy and e-security issues. Leif is one of Australia's leading lawyers in these areas and he is regularly invited to speak on topics falling within his specialist fields. For example, he was invited to speak about digital signatures and Public Key Infrastructure at the 9th World Wide Web Conference in Amsterdam and the Commonwealth and New South Wales Governments invited him to speak on IT & IP issues at a recent APEC Conference in Sydney. Leif is also a lead author of Australia's seminal work on managing the legal risks associated with information system security, E-Security, which his Honour Justice Kirby launched in Sydney in January this year, and is a columnist for the Australian Personal Computer.
