Merik Karman has been working in the electronics and IT industry since 1979. He has over 15 years experience in the many disciplines of IT Security and is currently employed as the Chief Solutions Architect for SecureNet Limited, a publicly listed Australian IT security company. Meriks network security experience spans major government and commercial projects including the Australian whole of government secure gateway environment and as Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of the Australian managed security company, iSecure. Merik is a SANS GIAC advisory board member and joins their ongoing crusade to improve the practice of perimeter defence and intrusion detection worldwide.
