Patrick Scribner Patrick Scribner, EWA IIT, Inc., earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Military Studies, from the University of Texas, El Paso, and a Master of Arts in Organization Management from the University of Phoenix. Commissioned into the United States Army in 1985 he served as a Reconnaissance Platoon Leader, Support Platoon Leader, and Senior Logistics Officer (S-4) for 1st Squadron, 3d US Cavalry Regiment. Following the Armor Officer Advance Course, he assumed duties as the S3 Plans Officer for the 5th Squadron, 17th Cavalry, 2nd Infantry Division, Republic of Korea. From 1992 to 1993, he commanded A Troop, 5/17 Cavalry where he developed a series of comprehensive ground reconnaissance standard operating procedures that were integrated into the 2nd Infantry Division's information and intelligence collection strategy. From 1993-1995 he served as the Network Administrator, and Mobilization Plans Officer for Readiness Group Lee, First United States Army. While in this position he assisted in the development of a computer based unit packing and loading software package that decreased manual planning requirements and increased accuracy and speed of mobilization information. In 1995 he was selected to serve as the Senior Instructor at the United States Army Intelligence Center at Fort Huachuca, Arizona were he developed and taught the first All-Source Analysis System (ASAS) Officer Advanced Course. (ASAS is the Military Intelligence component of the Army Battle Command System.) He was selected to serve as the first Field Support Team Chief at the United States Army Land Information Warfare Activity in 1997. He served, at various times, as the Information Operations Officer or Information Operations Plans Officer for three of the US Army corps and six of its divisions. He supported planning and execution of Information Operations at the Joint, Army, and tactical levels, and from Small Scale Contingency Operations to simulations for Major Theaters of War. He retired from active duty in 2000 as the Chief, Current Operations, United States Army Land Information Warfare Activity. Mr. Scribner is currently the contract lead for the integration of information operations into the United States Army's Initial Brigade Combat Teams, a part of the United States Army Transformation Campaign Plan. He co-authored the IBCT IO section training support package (TSP), and the training requirements documentation package for transformed units' information operations techniques and procedure.
