Raja Azrina Raja Azrina Raja Othman graduated from Lehigh University, Pensylvania, USA in B. Sc. in Computer Engineering late 1993 and later joined MIMOS in 1994 in the Internet Service Division (JARING). She spent three years in JARING (the first ISP in Malaysia), as a network engineer and system administrator for radius authentication server and remote access servers. In those years, she had discovered security threats and worked on various issues on computer security on critical network devices. In year 1997, she co-founded the Malaysian Computer Emergency Response Team (MyCERT). Due to the demand for more security services, in year 2000, the National ICT Security and Emergency Response Center (NISER) was formed as an umbrella for MyCERT activities and further expand the roles of NISER beyond Incident Handling. Raja Azrina is currently the Assistant Director 1 of NISER. She has contributed various papers on ICT Security for tutorials, seminars and conferences, covering both local and overseas on topics involving technical as well as management. She has been involved in various network security audit and penetration testing activities, in large network with considerable complexity. She has dealt with various types of Incidents involving government, educational institutions and private sectors. Raja Azrina is also a GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst and GIAC Security Essentials Certified (certifications issued by SANS Institute, USA). She was a member of a few Malaysian national level ICT Security working groups in formulating various ICT Security Policies, including Government Security Standard working groups and Associate Member of National IT Council. She is currently member of Board of Engineers Malaysia, National Panel of Experts and ICT Skill Advisory Committee . |
