Russell Fulton

Russell Fulton gained a BSc in Mathematics and Diploma in Computational Mathematics from the University of Auckland in the mid 70s. Since then he as worked in many and varied computer related roles for the University of Auckland. In the 90s he was part of a small team that managed Kawaihiko (the inter-university IP network within NZ and its international connections) and it was during this time that he became involved with computer security. Since the mid 90s he has spent an increasing amount of time dealing with computer security issues and in 1999 he was appointed to the newly created position of "University Computer and Network Security Officer", a position that he still holds.
