Bruce Morgan is a Network Engineer with AARNet Pty Ltd (the Australian Academic and Research Network) and is based in Perth, Western Australia. He specialises within AARNet on network measurement and performance analysis.

After working for Curtin University of Technology, Perth, as a network systems administrator for many years, he moved to AARNet in November 1999. In 1997 he wrote network accounting software which was deployed across AARNet allowing the measurement of traffic down to flow granularity. Looking at IP flow data, he has been able to provide early notifications to the various universities and CSIRO of various scans, probes and attacks which has allowed successful interventions by network administrators and network/computer security personnel.
