David Van Homrigh is the managing partner of KPMG Forensic in Australia and for the Asia Pacific region. He is a member of the KPMG International Steering Group with general responsibility for the development of Forensic services in the Asia Pacific region.

He has given evidence in many judicial proceedings including litigation in the Supreme Court, the Federal Court, and in various arbitrations and mediations. He has provided advice in cross border disputes, international arbitrations and multi jurisdictional investigations.

The cases in which he has been involved include:

• An economic and costing advice to a major coal producer;
• Expert evidence in relation to a major residential and town precinct development;
• Evidence for a major bank in relation to a loss of profits claim as a result of an alleged loss of income from property development and other business activities;
• Numerous professional negligence claims against legal advisers, engineers, accountants, banks and others;
• Investigations in relation to the theft of intellectual property;
• Review of licensing arrangements;
• Major frauds;
• Breaches of tender processes; and
• Theft of sensitive commercial information and a range of other types of inappropriate behaviour.
