John is the founder & Managing Director of Recover Pty Ltd a specialist business continuity company based in Sydney, Australia. John is also the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) representative for Australia & a member of the Australian Institute of Risk Management that has recently formed an alliance with the BCI. The BCI in Australia are currently reviewing accreditation courses in BCM in conjunction with a leading Australian university, as well as taking other leading roles in furthering BCM in the region. He has held senior staff and line management positions in New Zealand, Australia, East Africa, Hong Kong & the Philippines and also carried out major projects in Taiwan, USA and Europe

John specialises in professional Business Continuity Management "Enterprise Wide" (includes IT Disaster Recovery, Contingency Planning, Business Recovery, Emergency Management, Crisis Management, Incident Management) & providing a lasting business continuity platform to integrate with risk management.

In addition real time disaster exposure has been experienced with a variety of major disasters ranging from power outages to typhoons and earthquakes. This has been very helpful in scenario exercises with clients.

Recover Pty Ltd is currently the external advisor to the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) on Business Continuity Management. John represents Recover at ASX.
