Michael's 30 years IT experience extends from systems, analysis, design and programming to leading major IT projects with 16 years spent as executive IT manager for organisations including Westinghouse Electric Australia and Asea Brown Boveri.

Michael also consulted in a variety of industries creating, implementing and supporting computer based manufacturing, process control, and security systems. Customers included Orbital Engine Company, Stanilite Electronics (later Australian Defence Industries), Swan Breweries, The Perth Mint, W.A. Water Authority, Corporate Computer Services and others.

The origins of the 'Silicon Data Vault'® are based on his extensive industry background and specifically his experience managing a secure Internet Service Provider, IAP DIRECT. IAP had a working relationship with MCI (USA), Telstra Australia and other communications vendors providing a variety of direct secure Internet services to Governments, military, police and Crime Stoppers, large corporations, both local and overseas, mining companies and small businesses.
