Amarottam Shrestha's career in IT has spanned more than 16 years, and is currently employed by Telstra as a Security Consultant. He has provided security consulting services to various government and commercial customers. He has worked in areas of security architecture, policy development, compliance and risk assessments. He has contributed significantly in architecture development and design of DSD certified shared Internet gateways in Canberra.

Amar holds "Doctor of Engineering" degree in Computer Science and is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP). Prior to joining IT industry, he has spent several years in academia, researching in the field of Neural Networks.
