Andrew Gordon
Brightmail

As a sales engineer for Brightmail Asia Pacific, Andrew Gordon is responsible for the pre-sales engineering requirements of customers throughout Japan, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. This involves the design, implementation and management of local technical teams and services Brightmail's anti-spam customers in the region. Andrew's ongoing responsibility will be to support the growth of the business providing technical expertise in the sales cycle.

His strong understanding of the technology combined with his ability to understand the specific needs of customers and deploy solutions that meet these needs, have positioned Andrew as an industry commentator, addressing public forums, customer roundtables and responding to media requests.

Prior to joining Brightmail, Andrew held a dual role with Trend Micro, acting as a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer to the NSW, Federal Government and Telecommunications verticals and as a Managed Services Architect, utilising virus scanning and anti-spam technology in commercial and retail ventures.

Andrew has enjoyed a diverse career in Messaging and Security for a number of government departments, including Property Services Group (initially responsible for the development of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Site, Homebush), Department of Urban Affairs and Planning and Landcom.

His education is continually expanded as he attains numerous industry certifications and accreditations, and continues to seek out new ways to increase his knowledge.
