Chris Poulos
Trend Micro

Chris Poulos was appointed Managing Director of Trend Micro Australia and New Zealand in May 2001, after joining the company in October 2000 as Sales Director.

Prior to Chris' appointment at Trend Micro, he worked for a number of major organisations. He spent seven years at IBM in a variety of roles including technical specialist in geographic information systems and account executive with responsibility for the Water Board account. He worked for Lotus for five years where he successfully developed a business unit which generated $20 Million USD and employed over 130 staff in just 3 years. Chris has also acted as a consultant for Microsoft's enterprise sales team, to engage in services with solution selling.

Chris was also involved in establishing iLaunch, (a knowledge management, workflow and corporate portals systems provider) as Vice President of Alliances, bringing on board major players such as Hewlett Packard and dealing with customers including Deutsche Bank, Silicon Valley Bank and the US Defense Force.

Since his appointment as managing director at Trend Micro, Chris has continued to grow the business by more than 100 percent despite the difficulties that 2001 presented to the IT industry.

Chris has over 16 years of experience in the IT industry and holds a degree in Geometric Engineering from the University of New South Wales.
