Greg Shipley
CTO, Neohapsis

As Neohapsis' CTO, Greg is responsible for setting the technical vision of one of North America's leading security firms. Prior to tackling this challenge, Greg spent his time in the IT trenches as a system and network engineer. His fascination with security and its effects on modern-day computing systems led him to consulting in the early 90s. He later became a contributing editor for Network Computing magazine, eventually receiving the prestigious Neal Award from the American Business Media for "Best Single Article" in 2001.

To date, Greg continues to be a prolific writer authoring both articles and book chapters. A frequent speaker at conferences such as the Institute for Applied Network Security, E-Business Expo, and Networld Interop, Greg remains an active contributor to community-driven security efforts and real-world product testing. Greg has earned a reputation for "calling it like he sees it". His dedication to getting more secure products to market spurred on his role in industry redefining initiatives, such as OSEC, the Open Security Evaluation Criteria, a validation effort designed to help protect IT consumers.
