Karl Hanmore
Bank of Queensland

Karl Hanmore is presently employed as the IT Security Manager for one of Australia's smallest (but fastest growing) bank's. Karl prides himself on retaining his technical knowledge to backup the theoretical and practice based components of IT Security Management. When not working at the bank defining policy or embroiled in the latest technical challenge, Karl spends his time in front of his home network (currently at 6 PC's per family member) extending his knowledge, building a honeynet (the latest project) or otherwise hacking together meaningless perl scripts.

Prior to commencing at the bank, Karl was the technical manager for a mid-sized ISP. In this role he managed many aspects of the business, with an emphasis on technology and (funnily enough) security.
