Michael graduated from the University of Queensland in 1996 and received a PhD in physics from the Australian National University in 2002. He has been working with the Information Security Group (ISG) in the Defence Signals Directorate for 3 years and is currently the Senior Technical Adviser for the branch and the Computer Network Vulnerability Team (CNVT). His responsibilities include providing complex technical support for ISG, the CNVT, and NII organisations as well as mentoring and training CNVT staff members.
