Call for papers Closed

Academic Research and Development call for papers submission deadline ends on the 27th February 2004.

Call for Papers and Tutorials

At the request of previous conference delegates, the AusCERT2004 programme committee has decided to include some positions on the programme for speakers accepted through a "Call for Papers and Tutorials". Accepted papers may be included in the Business, Technical or Tutorial streams.

This call for papers is open to experts who believe they would have a quality paper for the AusCERT2004 Conference fitting the theme of "Computer Security - are we there yet?".

Note that this is not an academic refereed call for papers. A separate refereed stream for research and development is available for this purpose and a call for papers is being held separately for this stream. Please refer to the refereed call for papers for further details.

About AusCERT

AusCERT is the national Computer Emergency Response Team for Australia (www.auscert.org.au), similar to the role CERT/CC plays in the US. We are a not-for-profit organisation based out of The University of Queensland (www.uq.edu.au). Two years ago we saw the need for an international security conference focused on both technical and business security issues which corporations, governments and CERTs face.

About the Conference

In Australia, the AusCERT conference has proven to be the premier IT security event for IT security professionals and anyone with an interest in IT security. This is the third year we have been running this conference and interest in the conference from delegates, speakers and sponsors has grown accordingly. In 2003, 520 delegates attended and we expect at least the same if not more for AusCERT2004. As before, we also expect to attract delegates from organisations worldwide.

For information about our two previous conferences please refer to:
