AusCERT2004 will follow on the footsteps of previous years as a prestigious event attracting delegates from organisations worldwide. Already it has received significant global interest. AusCERT2004 theme is 'Computer Security: Are we there yet'. It will include sessions focused on both business and technical issues. The AusCERT2004 organising committee has developed the basic framework for this event. The committee has selected an event organizer, location, budget and a set of proposals for sponsors. Discussions have taken place with keynote speakers. Confirmed speakers include Eugene Spafford, Richard Thieme, Bill Cheswick, Kathy Fithen, Peter Gutmann, Arnold Yoon, Robert Hensing and Ralph Logan. More great speakers are in the pipeline.

Feedback from the AusCERT2003 delegates on key areas of interest for the AusCERT2004 conference has been considered carefully and this has influenced the program content.

A significant trade show is planned. Sponsors are able to choose their location based on their level of sponsorship moderated by their date of confirmation. This adds value to those who confirm their participation early. A "Sponsors evening with delegates" is planned to provide you with better exposure for your products and services.

Some 620 delegates are expected with one quarter of these from overseas. AusCERT2004 will be promoted via AusCERT's member list, the AusCERT2002 and AusCERT2003 delegates list and a number of email lists used for promotion by our conference organiser (names have only been included on lists where permission has been given.). Invitations will also be extended through other CSIRTs in the Asia Pacific region.

As a sponsor we would provide our conference logo to you to use on your own website and promotional emails so you could divulge the conference to your own client base.

Xtra High Impact Sponsorship Opportunities

This type of sponsorship is to enhance the entertainment value of the AusCERT2003 Conference. Be innovative to promote your latest product or company image.

Prizes: At the end of the Conference and during the 'Sponsors evening with delegates' prizes will be drawn. Consider providing some of these prizes, such as network cards, network cables, software licenses, stress balls, or your idea.

Summary

When forecasting the investment to sponsor AusCERT2004 you should note the following:

• Only Platinum, Gold and Silver sponsors may put forward speakers for consideration in the program. All speakers are considered based on their value to the delegates and the importance of providing a balanced program.
• Your sponsorship includes the following complimentary full delegates - Platinum (3), Gold (2), Silver (1). Bronze gives you one exhibitor staff member who may not attend the presentations nor the social events. You must register every attendee even if they are complimentary.
• All other delegates will need to be paid for. If you would like them to attend the presentations then the cost will be equal to a non-member rate. If your staff do NOT want to attend the presentations then they need registering as exhibitor staff at $55/day (includes Morning/Afternoon Tea and Lunch; excludes attendance at conference sessions and the satchel) OR $410/three days (includes entrance to all social events and the conference satchel; excludes attendance at conference sessions).
• You will need to pay for accommodation for your staff, this can be booked via the conference registration site, this is a special rate not available through your normal travel agent nor the web.
• You will be provided with a simple shell scheme as a booth; it will include reasonable power, two spotlights, a table with table cloth and two chairs. Reasonable high-speed access to the Internet will also be provided at no cost.
• You should budget for the costs of installing a booth to your own design, any special furniture you require and any special accessories like brochure displays.
• Security will be provided overnight in the exhibition but no commitment is implied or given. You must lock down or remove all attractive items when the booth is un-occupied.
