AusCERT2009 Executive Program
at the AusCERT2009 Asia Pacific Information Security Conference

Meet a select group of world class security experts and fellow executive managers to discuss how to manage information security issues from your perspective.

Thursday 21st May 2009, half-day program 9:00 am – 12:30 pm; concluding with an executive luncheon from 12:30 - 13:30.

Venue: RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast.

We all know being CxO of a major organisation is an enormous responsibility, with some of the most difficult management decisions.

Become more confident in managing your organisation’s information security at the executive level. Learn from information security experts and network with other senior managers.

For example, how would you handle:

  • A massive leak of your company’s intellectual property which threatens the existence of your firm?
  • Disruption of your business after handing over your servers to the Federal Police for investigation?
  • Finding a competitor's corporate intellectual property on your company's server, just as they arrive at the front door?

The goal of the AusCERT2009 Executive Program is to get to the heart of the issues facing executives managing information security and its related impacts, by exploring scenarios that only senior managers face.

The AusCERT2009 Executive Program has been developed specifically for CEOs and senior managers of major Australian organisations to network with their peers, and discuss information security scenarios in a closed and informal atmosphere.

At the AusCERT2009 Executive Program, CEOs, CISOs and senior managers will gain advice from leading cyber security experts and other executive managers.

At the AusCERT2009 Executive Program provides Executives with an opportunity to discuss their security problems in a non-technical forum with leaders of other organisations who face the same sorts of issues.

Mr. Rice served as an analyst for the National Security agency and Special Duty Cryptologic Officer for the United State Navy.

At AusCERT, we understand there aren’t many CxOs who can justify the time at a 3-day information security conference. Therefore, we’ve developed this half-day program, where some world-renowned cyber security experts together with the heads of major Australian organisations, will discuss the management issues of information security, run through hypothetical scenarios, and plan strategies for tackling the overall security of your IT environment.

This forum is limited to a small audience to facilitate discussion and interaction. The venue is the RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, with state-of-the-art conference and accommodation facilities.

The AusCERT2009 Executive Program follows the main 3-day program of the 8th annual Asia Pacific Information Technology Security Conference, and will therefore take place on Thursday 21st of May from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm, followed by an executive luncheon until 1:30pm.

The AusCERT2009 Executive Program is only $275. Event registration is limited to senior and executive managers of major organisations.
