Nominations are not invited for the AusCERT awards. The judging will be by the AusCERT team who work at the coal face of incident response. AusCERT will consider those who have provided the greatest overall contribution to information security in terms of their work in the areas of information security such as community service, innovation, education, liaison, law enforcement, governance or leadership.

Winners will be announced at the AusCERT2011 Gala Dinner on 17th May, at the RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast. Gala Dinner attendance is included in the registration fee for AusCERT2011 Conference delegates.

Nominees not attending the AusCERT2011 Conference are welcome to purchase Gala Dinner tickets for $125 each, or a table of 10 for $1150. Entry to the AusCERT2011 Gala Dinner and Awards are included in the delegate registration fees for AusCERT2011. The Awards ceremony will be hosted by Australian comedian Corinne Grant. Entertainment will be by Australian Music Comedy Sensations, Tripod with Yon, Scod and Gatesy. Tripod is back by popular demand after performing at AusCERT2008. Also performing will be the only quick change artists and magicians in the world, Soul Mystique. How do they do it? You'll have to watch closely.

Highlights

We have three fantastic keynote presentations lined up for you at AusCERT2011. We look forward to hearing from British Writer and Comedian Bennett Arron, Professor Ross Anderson from Cambridge University, and Amit Klein, CTO of Trusteer.

Our Gala Dinner incorporating the Australian SC Information Security Awards and AusCERT Awards will be hosted by Corinne Grant on Tuesday 17th May. To entertain us, back by popular demand from AusCERT2008 is Australian Music Comedy Sensations, Tripod with Yon, Scod and Gatesy. The quick change artists and magicians Soul Mystique will also be performing - how do they do it? You'll have to watch closely.

Adam Spencer returns to host the Speed Debating panel at the close of AusCERT2011. Adam is an Australian comedian and mathematician, and very quick on his feet. The Speed Debating is gathering momentum at AusCERT conferences - not to be missed!

Turbo Talks give delegates the chance to make five minute rapid-fire presentations on their favourite soapbox issue. Bring along your great idea or raise your burning issue. Get on your Soapbox!
