Conference format

Please take note - we have a new conference format for AusCERT2012.

We're flipping the format so that AusCERT2012's main conference program runs for three days AFTER the two days of tutorials where delegates to gain in-depth, hands-on, technical experience.

We're looking forward to this change and hope that this new format will see excitement build during the week so that the conference concludes on a high note on the last day.

The new format is:

• Monday/Tuesday — Tutorials (half/one/two day choices)
• Tuesday — Executive Program
• Tuesday — Golf
• Tuesday afternoon — Conference registration opens
• Tuesday evening — Welcome cocktail party
• Wednesday/Thursday/Friday — Main conference program
• Wednesday evening — Sponsor’s cocktail party
• Thursday evening — Gala Dinner and Industry Awards
• Friday — Conference concludes

We try schedule the program to meet delegates’ individual interests, for example, we group presentations on the same topic to form a series of presentations one after the other. There will be an Executive Program for high-level executives to discuss IT security issues with their peers in a smaller group setting. Several side events can also be held before and during the conference to allow special interest groups to meet.
