Rob Forsyth joined Sophos in 2001 and is Managing Director (Regional Vice President), Asia Pacific based in Sydney. He is an active spokesperson within the IT sector, lending his expertise to industry associations such as the Internet Industry Association (previously Deputy Chairman and Treasurer), The Internet Society (currently Director), and was on the NSW Branch Executive Committee of the Australian Computer Society (ACS) for some 6 years and was appointed a Fellow (FACS) in 2011. Since 2009 he has led the Over the Horizon forum of Cyber Security Week run by the Australian government Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy. In 2011 he was elected to the NSW Board of Crimestoppers, the Australian Federal Governments National Standing Committee on Cloud Computing and the New Zealand Government’s Cyber Security Awareness Advisory Group.
Mobility of Data
While cutting through the current hype to find today's truth is important, the role of a CIO is also to look just over the horizon and determine where this is all going. Rob Forsyth will outline how mobility (of data) is changing our lives, the lives of our children, and our whole society. For better or worse, this is largely up to you and our industry.
