We Are The Zero Trust Heroes

Technical Level (3 being the highest score): 2

Often when we think of super heroes we’re struck by the mental imagery of individuals who are imbued with fantastic abilities. They can stop bullets, speed from place to place and leap tall buildings in a single… well, you get the idea.

The truth of the matter is that these are lofty goals to aspire to and admire. The real strength of the hero can be found in joining forces to address a problem.

Super heroes have their Justice Leagues, Avengers and assortment of X-things. But where does that leave us?

Are we not security professionals with extraordinary abilities? But, as we have seen mirrored in comic books too often, the only last success comes when the heroes band together.

Zero Trust is the foundation upon which we can build our own super hero collectives. It’s not about setting up for individual accomplishments but about all of us being able to reduce risk.

Now, more than ever, we need to address the villains that threaten the good citizens of Gotham, Metropolis and even Sydney. Invest our time and effort in shoring up our defenses by extending zero trust to the remote workforce, workplace and workload. Then we will protect our teams, families and by extension the wider Internet.
