Welcome to AusCERT2014
AusCERT is hosting AusCERT2014, the 13th annual AusCERT Information Security Conference from 12th-16th May 2014 at the RACV Royal Pines Resort on Queensland's Gold Coast, Australia.
The theme for AusCERT2014 is “Trusting Security”, a reflection of the growing concern surrounding mass data collection efforts which undermine the "secure" cloud.
Do individuals and companies care that their data is accessible to nation state intelligence gathering via cloud providers?
What are the privacy and espionage risks surrounding "Big Brother" capabilities?
Should we be afraid or feel reassured by nation state intelligence gathering?
Like light that is distorted when it passes through a prism, online security is not always what it seems; and our trust in the online environment is increasingly being challenged and eroded.
AusCERT2014 will explore the full ‘spectrum’ of these risks and bring experts from Australia and around the world to provide insight and solutions to deal with these challenges.
Preparations are underway for AusCERT2014 and we are looking forward to another great conference. Mark the dates in your calendar! AusCERT2014 will be held 12th-16th May 2014.
Tutorials will be Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th May 2014.
The main conference program will be Wednesday 14th to Friday 16th May 2014.
The Gala Dinner incorporating the Australian Information Security Awards will be on Thursday 15th May.
