Dr. David Stockdale is an skilled senior manager with over 38 years of experience across electronic engineering, IT, and astrophysics. Currently serving as the Director of AUSCERT, one of the world’s oldest Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs). Based at UQ, AUSCERT plays a vital role in incident response, cyber threat intelligence, and training for Australian agencies and companies.

Beyond UQ, David wears another crucial hat: he is the Director of Information Technology Services at The University of Queensland (UQ). David oversees IT infrastructure, data services, and operational security. His transformative vision aims to make UQ a ‘data-centric’ organisation, leveraging data lakes, digital twins, and AI/ML.
