Ivano Bongiovanni is the General Manager at AUSCERT and is also a lecturer in Information Security at the University of Queensland. A former Police Officer and Deputy Venue Security Manager, he complemented a professional background in security and risk management with recent appointments as a cybersecurity scientist. His current work mainly revolves around Cyber Security GRC and focuses on improving organisational cyber security practices, promoting user-centric cyber security systems to balance growth/innovation and security, supporting board members and organisational leaders in making sound cyber security decisions, and designing safe and secure management systems.
