Is a retired New South Wales Police Force Officer of 20 years where a majority of his policing career was spent working in investigations and intelligence roles ranging from organised crime to counter terrorism. From 2003-2010 he worked in investigations at the Joint Asian Crime Group (JACG), Southeast Asian Crime Squad (SEACS) and intelligence in the Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad (MEOCS). He was recruited into the Terrorism Intelligence Unit (TIU) before undertaking duties from 2011-2018 where he managed a specialist cyber team within the Covert Online space for the NSW Police Force – Counter Terrorism & Security Group, Terrorism Investigation Squad (TIS).  conducting high level national security investigations and intelligence reporting. 2016 he was nominated to undertake specialised covert online investigative training with the FBI Cyber Crime Unit in the U.S. where he successfully completed various online training and assessments. As part of this trip, he also delivered Law Enforcement presentations on case studies and engagement strategies, building liaison networks and establishing lines of communications within the National Security space. As part of the progression from this training he became the liaison for ADF Special Forces and numerous Law Enforcement Agencies around the world, particularly the Federl Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and the New York Police Department (NYPD). Whilst working within the Counter Terrorism field he completed a Masters of Terrorism and Security studies completing with distinction. He became a covert online specialist subject matter expert (SME) helping establish the Commonwealth Chair for Covert Operations. He also filled roles instructing and advising on several courses for the Australia Federal Police (AFP) and NSW Police Force, within the covert online space.

He is currently working as a Senior Cyber Security Analyst with the NSW Department of Customer Service, Cyber Threat Intelligence team, from 2003 – present. Within this role he is required to review intelligence from multiple sources, develop targeting opportunities and conduct regular threat hunting throughout government environments, writing intelligence assessments of the findings for submission to the executive management team and other teams within the Security Operations Centre (SOC). He also did a working secondment with the NSW Telco Authority helping with intelligence support and conducting threat hunting within the PSN and associated environments. He has completed the SANS Cyber Threat Intelligence and Intelligence training for report writing.
