Naima Hassen is a Senior Consultant with a strong background in governance, risk and compliance (GRC) as well as technical cybersecurity. She began her career as a penetration tester, spending three years identifying security vulnerabilities and gaining hands-on experience with offensive security techniques. This technical expertise gave her a deep understanding of cybersecurity threats and highlighted the critical role that governance and policy play in securing organisations.
Transitioning into GRC, Naima helps businesses in building strong security frameworks that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. With her background in both technical assessments and strategic risk management, she is able to connect cybersecurity operations with business objectives in a practical and effective way.
Naima holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Master’s in Cybersecurity, bringing an analytical and research-driven mindset to her work. Before transitioning into cybersecurity, she was involved in advanced research on electromaterials, specifically exploring innovative methods for recycling lithium batteries. This scientific background has sharpened her problem-solving skills and developed her methodical approach to addressing complex challenges.
Currently completing her Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification, Naima is further expanding her expertise in security governance and risk management. Her experience in penetration testing provides a strong technical foundation that informs her work in policy implementation, risk assessment, and compliance.
