Peter Degotardi is a seasoned professional with over 35 years experience in IT, where he moved from operating mainframes, managing server fleets and building Olympic networks to settling into the cybersecurity field.
He has a proven track record in security strategy and policy development, along with extensive experience in managing security operations, incident handling and conducting compliance assurance.
Peter is currently serving as the Manager of Cybersecurity Capability Development & Reporting at the University of Technology Sydney, a position that saw him return to the education sector where his career began.
He plays a pivotal role in leading key initiatives aimed at enhancing cybersecurity capability and maturity, with a commitment to safeguarding critical digital assets and the people that need them in today’s rapidly evolving threat landscape.
