Zane is the Founder and Chair of security2cure, a charity (and conference) which aims to provide education and awareness for serious diseases such as cancer by providing an avenue for people to share their experiences.

Zane’s day job is in the financial services industry. He works to build and deliver the strategy for the threat management and operational security capabilities. This includes recent achievements such as uplifting the automation solutions and building the intelligence-driven detection and hunting capability.

Prior to this Zane has worked in a variety of roles across his career. Before working in cyber security, he worked as a system administrator for a managed service provider and a software engineer for a defence contractor. He later joined AUSCERT as a Senior Security Analyst in 2007. He worked as a consultant and in a variety of offensive security teams and in enterprise defensive teams.
