Gary Gaskell has been a pure-play cyber security specialist since 1993. This career has been built on a Master’s degree by research in the security field and extensive experience across government and large enterprises. He started by writing crypto software and integrating smart cards into authentication systems. Over time, he realised we needed to manage the security challenges more holistically. In recent years, he has focused on better ways to communicate the cyber risks identified in his work to the C suite and boards in keeping with their focus on governing cyber security risks. One key way is to ensure the cyber risks are described according to the standard corporate risk management framework!
