Tim Lane is a highly respected cyber security and IT governance leader with extensive experience across the Australian higher education and not-for-profit sectors. He currently serves as Chief Information Security Officer at TURSA Employment & Training and previously held senior leadership roles at Griffith University, where he led IT Governance, Risk, Compliance and Continuity functions.
Tim is widely recognised for his contributions to the cyber security community, including being named Winner of the 2020 CAUDIT Emerging Leaders Award and receiving the 2017 AUSCERT Award for Individual Contributions of Excellence. He has chaired national cyber security communities of practice, led international cyber threat intelligence study tours, and is a frequent and engaging conference speaker on cyber security, risk, leadership and resilience.
